Facility Renovation for the Bureau for the Protection of Minors
This is a safe house/holding facility for children and teens coming into state care or transitioning back home that needs renovation soon.
- This building is made up of old shipping containers that are welded together with a flat roof.
- Outside the soffit is rotting and the roof is probably leaking which caused the rot. The deck is in disrepair and needs to be replaced.
- Inside, all of the walls are made of steel and need to be stripped and repainted.
- Every door needs to be replaced or rehung after years of use, all the ceiling lights need to be replaced with LED fixtures to conserve energy as they run this facility off of a generator.
Once the work is completed, brand-new beds, mattresses and other essentials will be installed and the facility reopened. And so, this will be our first trip that will be scheduled for late summer 2025.
